NVAO Review Commission Member – Sales & Marketing field expertise in higher education
I have been serving over the past months as one of the dedicated sales and marketing representative for NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie), the official accreditation body for higher education in Belgium and the Netherlands.
In this role, I have been part of 2 review commissions of the NVAO organisation accrediting the “Graduaat Marketing Communicatie support” higher education programmes in Flanders.
NVAO plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of higher education by evaluating and accrediting degree programs and institutions. As their sales and marketing representative, I bring insights and expertise re. current needs of marketing education, new trends in sales & marketing, new tools in marketing & marketing automation, etc. My expertise is combined with other commission members who have deep expertise in quality standers, processes and procedures in higher education. All these are components of NVAO’s comprehensive accreditation processes.
This position allows me to contribute with my sales & marketing field expertise to the continued excellence and international recognition of higher education in the Dutch-Flemish region, ensuring that students as well as employers can trust in the quality and credibility of accredited programs and university colleges/institutions (i.e. ensure that education programs remain in synch with current trends in commercial strategy – combination of sales & marketing).
Participation in 2 reviews:
I have completed two educational program reviews focusing on “Graduaat – Marketing Communicatie Support” – a two-year program with extensive workplace learning components. These 2 reviews/audits were both in context of “education in multicultural metropolitan area”:
– AP Hogeschool in Antwerp,
– and Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussels (see LinkedIn post left), allowing me to evaluate how these institutions integrate theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-based learning experiences to support SME’s, not for profit organisations and enterprices.
My involvement with NVAO allows me to bridge the gap between academic excellence and industry relevance, helping to ensure that higher education programs adequately prepare students for professional success while maintaining the highest educational standards across the Dutch-Flemish region.
