Benny Van Calster
Benny founded capitalM in October 2003 after a successful career of over 9 years at Intel Europe. He has held initially at Intel the position of Eur. Marketing Director for their mobile communications division (XIRCOM EMEA). Later he was Market Development & Retail Marketing Manager for Intel Benelux. In this role he was managing, with this team, the multinational accounts such as HP and Lenovo/IBM as well as the relationships with key retailers such as FNAC, Carrrefour and MediaMarkt.
Benny has obtained in 2011 his part-time Executive MBA degree at AMS (Antwerp Management School); up to present he still is an active alumni of this business school. For more info check out their website: antwerpmanagementschool.be
Benny is also a certified funnel management coach of Funnel Academy (now Align.me – an Australian methodology on sales & marketing alignment). During workshops he has developed joint plans with commercial teams on a new product launch or a new segment introduction.
He was co-founder of Minds&More , a leading consulting firm in commercial excellence, and after selling his shares (end ’21) he became investor/mentor for start-ups via BAN Flanders.

Sales & Marketing Consultant/Interim Manager
I have 20+ years of experience and expertise in Sales & Marketing consulting, training and interim management. And successfully delivered on projects in different sectors like high-tech, transport & logistics, energy management, professional services, etc.
Moreover I was one of the 3 co-founders of Minds&More a leading network of professionals in sales & marketing (shares sold in Nov. ’21).
Since then back fully active as Business Coach, Interim Manager & Consultant in ‘commercial excellence’.
Lecturer
For the moment I am teaching international Erasmus students as well as “business management” Bachelor students at VIVES University College in Kortrijk (all coursed in English).
The 3 major Bachelor-courses are channel marketing/distribution management, innovation & product management as well as entrepreneurship.
Since September ’21 also guest lecturer at HOGent (in postgraduate Sales Management).
Investor/Advisor
I am keen on sharing my expertise in ‘commercial excellence’ with young start-up organisations as well as scale-up’s (mainly in B2B, services and high-tech alike context such as Selma, Penbox, Essensium, etc.).
I am facilitating VOKA workshops in the context of “Go International” (Mercurio programme) in different regions in Belgium.
Since 2024 also member of BAN Vlaanderen als investor/business angel and active in Board decisions (“Raad van Bestuur & Raad van Advies”).
