Benny recently participated to the special ceremony event organised to honour Jan Callewaert, founder of Option. This was the kick-off event organised by some Option.com friends and ex-colleagues as well as leading innovation institutes in Leuven to celebrate ‘entrepreneurship in all its dimensions’. Something Jan Calllewaert has demonstrated during his professional career !
Jan was the founder and CEO of Option (www.option.com ) a market leader in mobile data communications, a global innovative high-tech company and an innovative pioneer in this segment (mobile phone datacomms with licensing agreements with Nokia, Motorola, etc.). Option become a marketleader in its sector, got nominated as ‘company of the year’ in Belgium and they provided mobile communication solutions (PCMCIA-technology) to leading global telecom providers.
Benny Van Calster was hired in 2013, as sales & marketing consultant/Interim mMnager, by Jan Callewaert to support him in the commercial launch of Cloudgate, their first IoT (Internet of Things) gateway to drive innovation and new applications in Industry 4.0, sensing and data capturing applications (industrial automation initiatives).
